Lose Weight Easily

Weight loss is a hard task for many people to tackle. I bet you didn't know that more people in North America worry about their weight than anything else. There are plenty of ways to lose weight, but here are the much more easy, and therefore more likely to stick ways to lose weight.

The bone basic plan for dieting is to simply watch what you eat and exercise more during the week. Unfortunately, most people cannot do this, and require more personal attention. How often should each individual exercise a week, three, four days? What kind of foods can I eat no matter what, what kind of bread is right for me?

All of these questions depend on the individual person. If you are just starting to lose weight, then your optimum workout would be every day, but lower intensity. Don't forget, if you can find something great like intense basketball a few times a week, go for it! In between the game days you could do low intensity workouts such as a nice stroll through town. A few simple things need to be remembered:

  • Don't drive when you could walk or ride a bike.
  • Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
  • Go on a walk after dinner to relax before going to bed.

The diet isn't as easy to pin down. Just like how people like different foods, the metabolism and body type vary immensely from person to person. One diet will not suffice for everyone. Don't buy all new food, just try and shop a little more carefully so you can weed out the bad stuff. Try more and more to buy natural products, and stay away from prepackaged foods.

Stay away from all sugary drinks, especially soda.

Eating natural foods will cut down on the amount of calories that are put into the body. Make sure to get enough protein, but don't cut out on the other important things like carbohydrates.

Losing weight easily doesn't have to be hard. You just have to remember to change your day a little bit at a time, until choosing the right products are the immediate decision you come to.

It's Only Sugar Water

Soda. You probably drink it every day, and in fairly large quantities. Soda is so bad for you! I used to drink soda and energy drinks every day until I learned one amazing fact. A 12 oz Coca Cola has as much sugar in it as half of a cake... A CAKE!

But wait, your saying to yourself, "I only drink diet! It is so much better then regular soda." Here is a quick fact about the 'sugar' (Aspartane) they put into diet sodas.

Aspartame/Nutrasweet is a brain drug that stimulates your brain so you think that the food you're eating tastes sweet. If you pay attention you'll notice that when using Aspartame/Nutrasweet, everything you eat at the same time also tastes sweet! This may be why Aspartame/Nutrasweet causes you to crave carbohydrates. Hence, you won't lose weight using it.
You think you are drinking something that is good for you?

There are hundreds of different drinks that taste great, and are much better for you. Some people still want the carbonated taste, so they look for alternative carbonated drinks and stumble upon Lipton's Green Tea. (It comes in bottles at the store, not packages!)

Some more things you can drink are:

  • Water! (I drink water all the time.)
  • Milk
  • Tea (Hot or Cold)
  • Natural Juice (Check the packaging)
Soda isn't the only thing that stores have to offer, plus, its expensive. Turn on the tap for next to nothing!

Can You Do It?

Any fitness guru will tell you that actually getting the motivation to do something is the hardest part. Call it what you will, but the first two weeks of any workout is hell. (If you have never worked out before.)

Running, lifting, free weights... All of these things will make your body hurt. Some people, like myself, enjoy the feeling that you get after working your muscles to the extreme.

There are some things you can do to get yourself working out, and keep working out:

  • Find a friend! I know, your a geek and don't have many friends, but find someone to workout with.
  • Mix things up. Don't do the exact same routine every day. Throw in a day of just hiking or try out a swimming pool.
  • Keep in mind that your body is made for this! Humans were designed to be fit.
  • Find things to do at work.
Some exercises you can do at work:
  1. Office Workout
  2. Energize Your Workday
  3. Desk Exercises
